I don’t understand. Why don’t I need to install software on my computer where the digital pictures are stored?
The PhotoVu digital picture frame takes advantage of the features and technologies that are already built into your Windows, Macintosh, Linux, or UNIX based operating system to openly share files, directories, or folders. For Windows and Macintosh based computers, all that is required is the ability to “share” the folder(s) or directory(s) on the hard drive of the computer in which your photos are stored. Optionally, the PhotoVu digital picture frame can operate standalone, without a network, by simply plugging in a USB flash drive or USB hard drive into any one of the two or three USB ports available on the PhotoVu. In this case, a “default” photo slide show will automatically begin to play upon device insertion, composed of a random list from all the photos found on the drive.
