Basic & Advanced User Modes

The Advanced Settings, Basic/Advanced User menu allows you to change between basic and advanced operating modes of the PhotoVu. The PhotoVu is shipped with the factory default of Basic User Mode.

Basic User Mode

This mode is the default and intended for people with average computer skills.

When you put the PhotoVu into Basic User Mode, the following features are disabled:

RSS Feeds - RSS Feeds allow the PhotoVu to automatically download photos from leading photo sharing web sites.

PhotoVu recommends Basic User Mode for most users.

Advanced User Mode

This mode is intended for people with networking knowledge and advanced computer skills.

When you put the PhotoVu into Advanced User Mode, the following features are enabled:

RSS Feeds - RSS Feeds allow the PhotoVu to automatically download photos from leading photo sharing web sites.

Since these features are for advanced users, only email support is available. While PhotoVu encourages your feedback and feature suggestions, all Advanced User features are "as-is" and should be used at your own discretion. Not all features are supported or guaranteed. In some cases, features will be experimental and marked as such.
