Quick Start -- 2) Setup Your PhotoVu Photo Directory
You will need to add a Photo Directory to
access your Picasa Exports shared folder and digital photos. Any time you see the
icon, click
on it for context sensitive help.

| Step 1 - Add
a Photo Directory to Access Your Picasa Exports Shared Folder
You need to add
a Photo Directory so
that the PhotoVu can access your Picasa Exports shared folder and digital photos. Please use the PhotoVu Computer Name (Full computer name) and
Computer Share Name you created
in the last section.
In the PhotoVu Web Administration Menu, click Photo
Locations, Directories and look for the following section at the top:

Please follow these instructions for each
shared folder: Catalog and Photos.
- Type:
Select your type
of computer operating system of the Photo Directory to add. Please
choose Windows.
- Computer Name:
This is
the PhotoVu Computer Name or Full computer name from the previous section. Please
use the Full computer name you wrote down. Spaces are
not allowed.
- Computer Share Name:
This is the PhotoVu Computer Share Name ("Photos") from the previous section. Spaces are
not allowed.
- Computer Username and Password:
Enter the same username and password as you use to login to your PC.
The PC login screen is shown after you start up Windows. If using
Windows XP Simple File Sharing (the default), just enter "guest" for the Computer Username and
"guest" for the Computer Password. If you are using Windows XP Professional
with Simple File Sharing turned off, you MUST use an
administrator account on your PC that has a password. If not, you will
not be able to add these Photo Directories.
Once you have entered all of the above
information, click Add Photo Directory. If you receive any error
messages, please take the action given and try to add the Photo Directory again.

Now that you have added a Photo
Directory to access your Picasa Exports shared folder and digital photos, this will show up in
the Active Photo Directory section.
Now you're ready for the last step...lets
play a Photo Show!
